In the late 19th century, Brooklyn was one of the most culturally influential cities in the world. Now, in the 21st century, a revitalization and rediscovery of the borough is in full gear. The Brooklyn Lyceum strives to challenge the intellect and the imagination of the New York theater audience while also restoring an artistic vigor to a giant waking from a long, deep slumber. In a forgotten borough, in a long forgotten building, by a longer forgotten architect, in what was once Public Bath #7, the Brooklyn Lyceum serves as a crucible for striking, articulate culture.
